Nipple covers, pasties, stickers or tape: what's the difference?

They all hide your nipples when you go braless. The difference is the material and how many times you can use them.

  • Silicone nipple covers, like NIUD Covers, are reusable. With proper care, one pair lasts 2–3 months. They are fully opaque and soft against the skin.
  • Fabric or paper nipple stickers, patches and pasties are usually single-use. They can crease and show through thin fabric.
  • Nipple tape lifts and holds the breast, but it does not fully hide the nipple on its own.

NIUD Covers are waterproof and sweatproof, and we test them in tropical heat. They stay on from a hot commute to the pool. For the best grip, put them on clean, dry skin with no lotion, oil or sunscreen.

Pick the shade closest to your skin tone. If you are between shades, choose the lighter one. NIUD Covers are fully opaque, so they also hide darker nipples.

NIUD Covers are 8cm across and suit all breast sizes. To check the fit, cut an 8cm circle of paper and hold it over your nipple.

Yes. NIUD Covers are waterproof and sweatproof. Keep body oil, lotion and sunscreen off the area so the adhesive grips.

No. They are fully opaque with ultra-thin edges, so they do not show under sheer or light-coloured tops.

With proper care, one pair lasts 2–3 months. Rinse after each use with water and a gentle cleanser, air dry, and store them with the protective film on.

NIUD Covers use medical-grade adhesive and come with a pair of nipple protectors to reduce contact with the adhesive. Do a patch test first, and stop using them if you get a rash or irritation.
